“The Big Three”

“The Big Three”

Pacific Terminal, Neo-Atlantis and Logos - three logistics giants clench all the world's trade in their iron claws. As proud empires broke down into fragmented fiefdoms, humanity traded sovereignty for survival. The surviving nations and cities of the Acid Rain Era fell reliant on the “Big Three” to feed and clothe their war-stricken populace, all the while fending off expanding Gray Zones on all sides. Unbridled corporate tyranny holds all of mankind on a leash, wielding the economic and military might to bend even the most powerful leaders to their knees.

Pacific Terminal

Born from the ashes of a ruthless trade war, Pacific Terminal Ltd. (PTL) is the amalgamation of the two biggest shipping hegemons of the East. Wielding the greatest number of landlocked routes among the “Big Three”, PTL’s  colossal PT6 Bahamut convoys revived ancient trade corridors that span over three continents. Food is PTL’s top escorted commodity, and the isolated city-states of the Acid Rain Era nearly all rely on its trade runs to survive. PTL operations are highly automated, running on mechanized ports that require little manpower. PTL commissions robotic units from regional powers in exchange for cargo space, deploying them not only as armed escorts, but also as customized management systems that boast impeccable efficiency.

Neo-Atlantis

Neo-Atlantis dominates much of the globe’s maritime trade routes, boasting the largest fleet in the world. It is the oldest of the three logistics conglomerates, rising from remnant military and merchant fleets that survived the End Wars. The company is headquartered on the giant sea terrace “Atlantis”, an artificial archipelago formed by titanic warships and freighters. Neo-Atlantis also commands the infamous “Poseidons”, floating fortresses of destruction that patrol the company’s sea routes and deep-sea ports. Specializing in the trade of technology and energy, Neo-Atlantis absorbed many cutting-edge tech from its business partners.

Logos

Rising from a matriarchal merchant guild to become the youngest of the world’s logistic giants, Logos braved extreme weather conditions to sire a new lifeline for the Acid Rain Era - the transpolar Arctic route. Their fleet of “Vanir” vessels glide across ice sheets at breakneck speed, shattering icebergs at sea into thousands of shimmering crystals. Its headquarters nestles on the majestic island of Thule, where megathrust earthquakes and underwater volcanoes resculpted the environment. Logos is known for trading precious ores hidden in the fjords and “premium water” from ancient icebergs unsullied by acid rain. Recently, the company is constructing a revolutionary deep-sea pipeline to transfer priceless geothermal energy from the volcanoes around Thule into Europa.
