Omanga IMT (1) - Cerberus Rush

During close encounters, Omanga's Cerberus SA poses the greatest threat to us.

After extended periods of observation, we have identified and consolidated a list of all their known small unit tactics. A typical Omangan squad consists of two Cerberus SAs and a fire team, relying on the advantage of the Cerberus SAs to perform aggressive assaults. One major assault technique they frequently use is known as the Cerberus Rush, where one Cerberus SA will make a frontal assault to draw enemy fire while the fire team provides suppressing fire to pin down and contain the enemy. The assaulting Cerberus SA will accelerate suddenly, encircling the enemies in an attempt to approach their rear. This move typically draws the attention of the enemy's major firepower to concentrate on the flanking Cerberus. This is when the other Cerberus will make its charge with the real frontal assault. This pincer attack typically ends with enemies being trapped between two Cerberus SAs.

When faced with a Cerberus Rush, our top priority is to prevent encirclement. We need to send one or both of our assault Laurels to engage the first Cerberus SA in a grappling melee combat ASAP. Our infantry should employ fire and maneuver tactics immediately as they spread out and cover the retreat of our ranged Laurel unit in the rear. Our forces should stay on the move until the second Cerberus SA shows up. Once it does, our ranged Laurel can then get into firing position and take out the enemy SAs from a safe distance.
