Many people call the Stronghold SA by its nickname “Quad Eyes”, but little did they know, the origin of this nickname and the creation of the Stronghold both came from a multipurpose heavy vehicle - the Beaver WF4w.
I was a corporal back when the radical "Adrian Sons" attempted to ambush and capture Zamaii. Zamaii was of significant strategic importance, as it was a natural valley fortress and the only entrance connecting Agurts with the northern hinterlands. Agurts was young, and the country would be in grave danger if we were to lose this important choke point. We tried to evacuate the civilians before the battle, but many of them opted to stay and help despite knowing full well of the gravity of the situation. It was an invigorating moment that still warms my heart today. We were truly united back then... yet, the odds were still stacked against us.
Our weapons and equipment were limited, and we needed more firepower. There was an old armory where we found some dated cannons from the End Wars. We tried to move the cannons to more strategic locations and put them to use. This was when a mechanic from Laurel Inc. came up with a bold idea - to arm the Beaver WF4w with cannons. The Beaver was a multipurpose heavy vehicle assembled from parts around the world. It used a unique power unit developed by Laurel Inc. - an ingenious engine powerful enough to operate tanks. The Beaver’s operating system also supports multiple parallel operations, capable of even interfacing with the firing systems of the cannons! The combined result was truly magnificent! A mobile fortress armed with four cannons and two machine guns was born. Though it lacked accuracy and finesse, the sheer sight of this machine raining chaos and destruction on the battlefield crushed the enemy's morale and won the day for us.
The news of our victory quickly spread across the nation, and the military soon commissioned Laurel Inc. to develop a new weapon. By upgrading the Beaver's power unit and designing a new operating system, Laurel developed the first generation of transformable Synchro exoArmor - the Stronghold. The Stronghold had excellent mid to long range offensive capabilities, and it became the staple of the Agurts army. The invention of the Stronghold also marked the beginning of the SA era of warfare for our military.
