Counter Cerberus Rush Tactics

The development of the modern Laurel SA series focuses on countering the Cerberus SA, but the Cerberus still has its advantages in terms of overall performance. Cerberus SA hulls are made of extra reinforced composite armors, making it near impossible for standard firearms to pierce. Only heavy explosive weaponry and anti-materiel rifles can inflict effective damage against Cerberus armor. We need to make up for these differences in power with the Laurel's versatility and adaptability in different terrains and situations, as well as learn how to deal with the IMT maneuvers typically employed by the Omangan forces.

When encountering a "Cerberus Rush", our top priority is to prevent the first Cerberus from flanking by engaging it with our Assault Laurels. Our ranged Laurel units and supporting infantry should fall back immediately to try and maintain distance from the assaulting Cerberus SA. Given the opportunity, supporting infantry can assist by targeting the Cerberus' joints to hinder the Cerberus' maneuverability, or try and expose weaknesses in its armor by whittling down its hull integrity. Once the Cerberus Rush has been thwarted, the commanding officer should quickly regroup and relocate. This is because the Cerberus Rush is usually employed in ambushes and first wave assaults where Omangan support won't be too far behind.
