To the fans of Acid Rain World:
Over the last few months we’ve been silent about news concerning the Acid Rain World. While we have continued to release new models, we haven’t provided any updates or information about our game, story, or vision for the future. That changes today: today, we’re going to outline our roadmap for all things ARW over the coming year. We’ve got some big plans, and we’re excited to share it all with you, so let’s jump right in.
Let’s talk about the game first. Last year, we released a limited beta of Acid Rain World: Gray Dawn on Google Play and the App Store. Gray Dawn is a next-generation massively-multiplayer grand strategy game that captures the brutal struggle for survival of the post-apocalyptic Acid Rain universe. This year, we plan to fully launch the game with a number of new and exciting features, including:
- Chronicles - The Chronicles mode will allow players to relive key moments in Acid Rain World history through a series of story-driven single-player missions. The first batch of missions will relive the founding of the Bucks Team, the brave special operatives team that has saved the Agurts Federation countless times through their heroics.
- Redesigned Squad Interface - We have streamlined the gameplay so that rather than collect units and then have to build them, once you have the schematics, you can summon them immediately to reinforce your army.
- Better Combat - Squad lineups are now split among Front, Middle, and Back rows, making battle logic easier to understand while still offering complexity to those who take the time to learn the in’s and out’s.
- Doomsday Armada Events - We have added powerful World Bosses to the Gray Zones. By fighting them and collecting special insignias, you’ll eventually be able to add these elite units to your own roster!
You can expect to see the above features when we launch in Q1 this year, as well as a bunch of other events and new gadgets to tinker around with. In the latter half of the year, we plan to roll out the Tartarus Arena, which will offer players a PvP ladder to climb, with tournaments to follow. We’ll update you with more info about the Tartarus Arena down the line.
Global pre-registration is just around the corner - we’ll drop another post when it’s time, which we expect to be very soon, so stay tuned, and make sure you follow us on social media! To celebrate the release of ARW: Gray Dawn, we are also revamping our story. Previously, we released a prologue and five chapters, constituting our first season. However, although we were happy with the flow of the narrative, we believed we could do better. Starting today, we’ll be introducing our revamp of the Acid Rain World serialized online novel. The new version of the story will have the same major beats, but will also dive much deeper into details, giving you a bigger picture of life in the Acid Rain Era. The story follows a young soldier and his motley crew as, led by an old veteran, they discover the challenges of life away from the comfort of home out on the borders of the dangerous Gray Zones…
But that’s not all! Besides the story and games, fans will be familiar with our long line of Acid Rain World models. We have been working closely with the creator of the franchise, Kit Lau, on a new release of the famous Bucks Team heroes. If you’ve been looking to get your hands on Bob, Steel, King, Jack, and Argus, your wait is almost over!
Finally, with the release of so much new material, we have decided to clean up our old website. Expect to see a fresh and updated look that can serve as your home base for everything Acid Rain World related.
The future of Acid Rain World is a bleak one, but also one full of dreams for a brighter tomorrow. We hope that this roadmap has got you excited about what’s coming.
