The Safety Rasotsu is affiliated to the Mobile Task Force (MTF) directed by local Yamatoan government bodies. Specifically, the MTF is a paramilitary force established for keeping internal Republic security, strengthening and supporting the local police force during dangerous operations, such as responding to riots, internal armed conflicts, prison security, and power station security, making special commands and providing resources as necessary. During wartime, the MTF is placed under the command of the military, assisting in regional defense and safety tasks of a defensive nature. Safety Rasotsu troopers receive strict training in counter-terrorism, explosive removal, hostage rescue, and arresting hostile targets. They monitor, search, and strike at illegal armed forces, gangs, and rebels, ensuring the order of the nation is maintained. They are also responsible for handling special emergencies, such as searching and marking unusual explosives and combustion devices, testing nuclear chemicals, as well as suppressing riots. Due to the nature of their work, they are equipped with 25kg of modular heavy defensive equipment to defend against frontal assaults, which gear includes shields, batons, flame-retardant clothing, and non-lethal weapons for crowd control.
