The Hellbender Infantry from the Agurtan National Army’s 88th Sand Team are some of the most feared troops in the Estancian desert. Consisting mainly of refugees, the Hellbender Infantry rank and file were a ragtag group when they started out, beaten down by the difficult lives they had suffered, but this changed under Spencer and Donovan’s leadership. The two charismatic fighters, both refugees themselves, forged the Hellbenders into a unified fighting force. At the peak of their powers, they were unstoppable. But after Donovan disappeared, Spencer was a changed man. Hellbender discipline fell into disrepair. The Hellbenders are still as fierce as ever, but without anyone holding them back, their wild ferocity has made them less heroic and more notorious. Yet none of the Agurtans living along the border of the Estancian Gray Zone can deny their contribution to national security.
