The Red Crow Winder Type 12WDr is a lightweight SA allocated to the Red Crow Squadron, one of the Republic of Yamato’s Special Assault Units. It was created jointly by the Hiroshima Heavy Industry and the Pacific Terminal Ltd. (PTL). The PTL obtained advanced technologies and components from Europa while trading with the great powers through its global transportation network, but these technology blueprints were found to be somewhat outdated, using technology from Agurts and Omanga that was from a previous generation. Therefore, the Hiroshima Heavy Industry researchers designed an SA based on the demands of the Yamatoan military, suitable for urban warfare and pursuing enemies at high speeds. The Winder’s motion control system consists of dozens of motion sensing modules, allowing for an unprecedented degree of sensitivity for the SA’s movements. Given the incredible responsiveness of the machine, however, the pilots of the Red Crow Winder Type 12WDr have to undergo strict and grueling training, as taking the cockpit of this SA can be very physically demanding.
